Date Change- Pine Needle Basketry Workshop - Date Change

Discover the process of creating a traditional and beautiful pine needle basket. In the first class you will learn how to start your basket using a hand-made wood base and then coil long-leaf pine needles using waxed linen thread. Splitting the class over 2 evenings allows you to work on the project at home if you wish to create a larger basket. In the 2nd session we will learn finishing techniques and different stitches so you can take home a completed pine needle basket.  Although suitable for beginners this class will be most enjoyable for those who enjoy working with crafts or have some basketry/sewing experience. Those with experience can try new stitch techniques or shapes. Threads will be provided but you can bring your own colors to create a unique basket. 

 

For Adults and Teens, Ages 16 and up

Pre-registration strongly encouraged. Workshop will be canceled if minimum enrollment is not met.

Dates: Tuesday, March 5 and Tuesday, March 12(Two-evening workshop)

Time: 6:00 PM-8:00 PM both evenings. May finish early on second Tuesday, depending on individual speed.

Location: Fern Rooms 

Cost: $35 

Please note: Members (Pacesetter level and above) will receive their usual discount on the class portion of the fee but not the materials portion.

  • Workshop will be canceled if minimum registration is not met. In the event we have to cancel, all registrants will be notified via the email they registered with, and all registration fees will be fully refunded.
  • If you need to withdraw for personal reasons and notify us more than 1 week before the workshop, we will refund the class cost of $35 minus a 10% processing fee.
  • We will not issue any refunds to last-minute withdrawals. However, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend if you cannot make it.

Cancellation Policy

Workshop will be canceled if minimum registration is not met. In the event we have to cancel, all registrants will be notified via the email they registered with, and all registration fees will be fully refunded.

If you need to withdraw for personal reasons and notify us more than 1 week before the workshop, we will refund the class cost of $110 minus a 10% processing fee. You will still be responsible for the $35 materials fee unless we fill your spot. If/when we fill your spot, we will refund your $35 materials fee.

If you need to withdraw for personal reasons and notify us less than 1 week before the workshop, no refund will be issued unless we fill your spot. If we fill your spot, we will refund the entire $145 minus a processing fee of 10% of the class portion. 

We will not issue any refunds to last-minute withdrawals that we cannot fill. However, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend if you cannot make it.
