Foraging: Know Your Nuts

Do you know your white from red oaks? At Irvine we have 8 different species.  If you want to know the best type of acorns for foraging (and wildlife), this is the hike for you. Explore the nut trees - oaks, hickories and walnut - as we learn the keys to identification by leaf, nut and bark.  Discover which are worth collecting to eat and methods to process, store and open.

Cancellation Policy
Irvine reserves the right to cancel any event due to insufficient enrollment or extreme weather. If Irvine cancels an event, all registrants will be notified via the email they registered with, and all registration fees will be fully refunded.

Full payment is required at time of registration.

If you need to withdraw for personal reasons and notify us more than 48 hours before event, you can request a full refund minus a 10% processing fee.

NO refunds for no-shows or last-minute withdrawals (less than 48 hours notice).
