Speaker Bio: Tom Scollins grew up within walking distance of the Bronx Zoo, where he worked for several years as a teenager before leaving to study zoology in Gainesville, Florida. He worked at several small zoos before moving to Maryland to where his most recent work was with the Herpetology Department at the Baltimore Zoo. Tom has worked with and designed breeding programs for several endangered species, both in zoos and his private collection, and has over 33 years of animal husbandry experience. As Associate Curator of Herpetology with the Maryland Museum of Natural Sciences and the owner of Bio-Logic Solutions LLC, Tom enjoys connecting people with nature and bringing awareness to the need for conserving about reptiles and amphibians.
