Early spring wildflowers offer brief but exciting bursts of color throughout our local forests; even more so if deer are prevented from eating them. Birds and insects benefit from the sweet nectar and protein-rich pollen our native wildflowers provide. Learn more about the fascinating relationships between birds, bugs and wildflowers with Director of Education, Robert Mardiney. Following the program and lunch (provided), we will stroll through Irvine’s newly expanded and deer-excluded Woodland Garden to see what’s blooming.
