DESCRIPTION:2026-27 Day Off Camp - Indigenous Peoples of the Chesapeake- 11/3 \n  \n  \n  \n  \n A Welcome Letter/Gear List with more information will be emailed to all registered families the week before each camp. \n  \n  \n Ages 5-12 \n  \n  \n Pre-registration is required ~ You must register by 1 PM on Monday, November 2. \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n Time: 9:00AM – 4:00PM (Aftercare available until 6PM for an additional $30 per day) \n  \n  \n Cost: $120.00 \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n   \n  \n  \n Tuesday, November 3rd, 2026 – Indigenous Peoples of the Chesapeake \n  \n  \n In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, we will commemorate the Native American tribes of the Eastern Woodlands for all they have taught us about connecting with the environment and using our natural resources sustainably. We will hike to Irvine’s Native American Site where participants will get an insider look at Longhouse and Wigwam replicas that pre-colonial Native American tribes would have lived in. Participants will develop a respect for Native American culture as they learn about tool use, clothing, food, fire-making methods, and even games that are different than we see in today’s world. \n  \n  \n   \n  \n  \n   \n  \n  \n   \n  \n  \n
