Fall Foods of Maryland’s First People
Take a family friendly hike back through time to the Native American site at Irvine to learn how food was hunted, gathered and grown before 1492. We will look for wild foods on our hike, see what is ready to harvest in the 3 Sisters garden and try some food preparation methods. Then test your skills at the types of chores and games Native American children would have done.
The Native American Site is a 20 minute hike through different habitats at Irvine.
