NATIVE BEES AT IRVINE

Did you know there are over 400 native bees in Maryland?  This workshop will focus on the common species of spring, comparing the mason and mining bee groups. The online program will introduce some of our most common species, their life cycles and distinguishing features that allow identification. During the in-person program, we will look at bee specimens and then observe flowers to find bees and practice field identification. Adults and 14+ are welcome!
